Unfortunately we have to report some bad news today. Swords will be performing their last show during Portland's annual NW Musicfest taking place September 7-9. It seems fitting that Stephen Malkmus will also be playing the festival since he invited The Swords Project to open for him on their first tour. The band's label mates Talkdemonic will also be performing, so check the official site for more details.

It has been great filming the band over the years and would like to thank them for all their generosity and kindness. There is little doubt that the members of Swords will continue to create excellent art for decades to come, and we shall keep our ears to the ground for their future projects!

The band has recently been playing without their guitar player Jeffrey Gardner. We are sad to see his absence but understand why the band does not want to be held back by Jeff's busy schedule.

On the 7th of February an Elliot Smith tribute record will be released. The title of the album is To: Elliot from: Portland, and the song "I Didn't Understand" has been covered by Swords.
